41–77°F (5–25°C) all summer long, six to nine thousand feet up.

While the desert floor bakes, the high camp stays cool. Camp 2 sits past the oak and juniper, where the mountain closes into dense pine and fir — a sky-island refuge looking out over the Chihuahuan desert and the Big Bend country beyond it.

Two cabins, sleeping five and seven. Pine-panelled rooms, plank floors, wide windows onto the forest. All-inclusive as always — every meal cooked on site, guides, 4x4 transport inside the reserve, and a bottle of local wine each day.

We take one group at a time. While you're in it, the reserve is yours.
